About

Visual Computing Otago research group.

Welcome to the Visual Computing Otago research group in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Otago. In recent years, the fields of Computer Graphics and Computer Vision were converging more as well as getting more interdisciplinary, including aspects of HCI and Visualisation. We founded the Visual Computing Otago group to reflect this interdisciplinary that we already have in our research. Visual Computing is a field described as the intersection between traditional Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Visualisation and Human-Computer Interaction. If you want to learn more about the history of Computer Graphics and Vision at Otago, please refer to the pages of our old Graphics and Vision Research Group
